Pr. David Norton is Emeritus Professor retired from the University of Canterbury, where he worked for 40 years doing research and teaching in ecology and conservation biology.
“10% of the world’s population, the wealthiest 10%, which is many of us here in a country like New Zealand, are producing half of the greenhouse gas emissions. We have to cut that back, and to be doing it today. Not next week or next year or after the next election.”
